We are so grateful to have you on the show. Welcome, Dr. Pete.

Dr. Pete Sulack:

thank you so much. It's an honor to be here.

Ivelisse Page:

So our listeners always love to know what our guest's favorite health tip is, and I'm sure you have several, but could you share one with us today?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. You know, honestly, for us as children of God, it's faith. It's living from the vantage point of heaven. And you know, there's a scripture in Hebrews that says, you know, many died in faith. And I always thought like, what do you mean you died in faith? If you had faith, you probably won't die. But they never lost perspective in the midst of life. And as children of God too, we're new creations in Christ and citizens of heaven, and it's imperative that we represent, that we shine brightly by not losing perspective in the midst of what life throws our way.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes, and And you have an incredible story that just displays that. So can you take us back to November of'24, when you first heard the words grade four brain cancer. What was going through your heart and mind at that moment?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

You know, in the midst of it, when the doctor came in after eight hours in the emergency room on the Monday of Thanksgiving, my wife and I sitting there and the neurosurgeon said, you have in a very aggressive form of brain cancer. It's the size of a tennis ball and you know, later on we heard from MD Anderson that I had a 1% chance to still be alive in eight months. And, but God, and so, you know, in the midst of being shared that prognosis and that diagnosis, it's really surreal because this supernatural peace came upon my wife and I, and just that God was gonna take care of everything. And I remember walking out of there and you know, faith is I should that because faith is an impartation from a living God that comes through intimacy. It's not something we can muster up. We can't have faith to go through a storm and just hopefully we'll get it right there. It's an impartation that God graciously gives us that takes on his perspective, where we walk by faith and not by sight, not by the circumstances of this life. And so in the midst of that, I felt like the Lord whispered to me and said, son, it's not under death, but I'm gonna open up a brand new harvest field for you of cancer patients. I want you to go inspire them, give them hope, and introduce them to me. And I pray that we're doing that effectively, just throughout this journey.

Ivelisse Page:

Hmm. I believe you certainly have. And so, when you became your own patient after diagnosis, what did that look like in practice, going from doctor to patient?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. I think, it's all about the people you know not what you know necessarily. So I was privileged enough for my wife to be a cousin of Dr. Josh Axe's, wife and, so they're first cousins. And so I was able to call Dr. Josh and I was able to call Jordan Rubin, who's one of my best friends that we've written books together. And we just really began to create a game plan and a strategy around five pillars of diet, supplementation, detoxification, oxygenation, and faith. And because of that, they actually encouraged me to become my own patient and incorporate a pro protocol that I'd created for my wife five years previous, before I was ever diagnosed. And so we really began to strategize and really began to, it wasn't about treating cancer, wasn't about fighting cancer, it was about fighting the good fight of faith and also about establishing the terrain of my body in such a way that cancer was just no longer hospitable in my body anymore.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes. And I know everybody's story is different. Everybody's circumstances, internal environment is different. But what would you say, I mean, when you hear grade four brain cancer and that there's no cure, you know what's, what are some of your top three things that you believe you did that really helped you to overcome that diagnosis.

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. You know, I, I think for anyone that's dealing with cancer, regardless of the approach that you take, whether it's standard of care, holistic approach, or an integrative approach, it's imperative that you understand that food is medicine, that the things that you put in your body will either fuel disease or they're starve it. Even though most doctors will tell you that food doesn't matter, just get calories. I think you have to understand the context of why they're saying that because as long as they keep you in standard of care, you can die, but they're protected under their malpractice. The second they stop playing ignorant to diet and lifestyle modification and you move away from standard of care, they can lose their license. And so, so often I have doctors that reach out to me, in fact, every single day saying from Belgium and, and Brazil and here in America saying, Dr. Pete, you know, now it's my family. My family is struggling, my family has cancer. And so whatever you tell us to do, we will do. And I think it's just understanding context that food is medicine. In fact, if they give you a PET scan, that PET scan will fill you up with a radiographic glucose and light you up like a Christmas tree. Yet in the same sentence, they'll tell you that food doesn't matter and that sugar really doesn't matter. It a hundred percent matters. And so I think the things you put in your body, food and supplementation, make sure that they're starving and establishing the terrain of the body so that cancer's no longer hospitable in the body. I think obviously detoxification, things like oxygenation, all of those things are are critical. But once again, the capstone of all of that is faith. Living from the vantage point of heaven, knowing that your life is of great worth, value, and significance in the eyes of God, and that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion through Christ Jesus.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes. So that's amazing. And you, you come from an incredible line of faith. Your, your great grandparents were missionaries to India and helped translate the Bible for the Nagas. And so how has that spiritual heritage shaped who you are today?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

I think it's the fervent prayers of the righteous that availeth much. And so it's one of those things that's, I, I say it all the time, is in spite of me, not because of me. It's just, it's those that have gone before us that allow us the privilege of experiencing just the freedom and the freedom of religion and the freedom to express our relationship with the Lord. And you know, it's just, it's a biblical foundation that I've been given, and I'm so, so grateful because I know many people are not given that foundation. And so that has really set the stage for everything in our lives. And, and you know, for me, even raising our four sons and now two daughter-in-laws. It wasn't about for my wife and I, hey, of rules and regulations. It was about let's fall in love with Jesus ourself. Let's experience truly what it means to be a child of God in relationship with God, and let that speak way louder than the words that we could speak, come out of our mouth. And so we've tried to emulate a relationship with God that's freeing, that's liberating, so that our kids can really experience that too. And now our kids are mighty men of God, and we have amazing daughter-in-laws and it's just so cool to see what God's doing.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes. Yeah. What a legacy that's being left. You know, you've shared that you had a life changing encounter with Jesus on a mission trip to Tanzania in 2004. Can you tell us what happened and how it set the direction for your life and ministry?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. There's a group of us in Arusha, Tanzania and, one night, 10 of us were back in, in, in a hotel room and we just experienced just truly an incredible time with God a crusade about 20,000 people there. People were being set free from demons. I've never seen anything like that. People were levitating. It was just literally, we were seeing miracles take place. Something that I've never experienced in my conservative Christian home before. And, we, remember we came back to the room and someone said, what would happen if we prayed? For 10 minutes and just sat somebody and I just felt like, do it to me Lord. And, I remember I had an encounter with the Lord in Africa for four hours where I walked and talked to Jesus, whether in the body or, or the body. I do not know, like the Apostle Paul says, but I, I explained that in, in chapter four of the book, The Joseph Blessing, that I wrote with Jordan Rubin. And in the midst of that, the Lord had just said, son. I'm gonna give you a hundred million souls in person, a billion through the media. And that's why I feel like I've not fulfilled a call of God in my life. I've seen millions of people come to Christ simply by the grace of God, all over the world. And but it's just Jesus. And there's, you know, assignment for the joy set before me. You know, we can endure anything and, it just, it was a beautiful encounter with the Lord. And like I said, I explain it because it's the de I explained the detail and what Jesus looked like and the robe that he was wearing and the colors and, and the flooring, which was like a beautiful green grass, but it was like a moss where your feet just would it would just come up through your feet and it was just the most incredible experience. I can't do it justice to be honest with you because it is just, it literally surreal and, but that has set the course of my life. I was 28 at the time. I'm now 49. And so for the last 21 years, it's really set the course of my life in regards to what God has called me to and, and what's the purpose for my life?

Ivelisse Page:

How beautiful. I, I can't even imagine Four hours with the Lord and all that you experienced. And I've read many stories of people who've had experiences and it is unexplainable because there's so many things that we can't even put words to. I mean, even imagining, trying to describe what heaven is like, so the colors, the vibrancy, the textures, and just the presence of the Lord himself. I can't even imagine. What a beautiful time that was for you. yeah. And not long after that, Bishop Earnest, confirmed that same calling over your life, which is amazing. So how did that moment impact you and the work that followed?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

I think it's nice to have confirmation from people that are lovers of Jesus and, you know, for him who I considered at the time just one of the most humble, fruitful men of God this world has ever seen. And, just worked tirelessly in India, and around the world, taking care of children and, and tens of thousands of children through his children's homes and thousands and thousands of churches and, and just, but so, so humble and so gracious, and just truly bore the image of Christ. He was a Christ-like one. He walked in love. He didn't take record of wrong. He didn't let sin against him produce sin in him. And for him to just confirm, what the Lord had had, had told me was just, obviously a great, great privilege and just a confirmation and, for what God was doing. And, you know, for me, like I, I said already that it's in spite of me, not because of me. It's simply the grace of God. I'm so grateful just to be alive right now. Just to be able to experience the goodness of God, to be able to, witness one day my kids having grandkids and just cheering them on in this life and really just trying to fulfill the call of God that he's placed on me and I can't wait to go meet my savior face to face. I don't worry about and fear death at all. To live as Christ, to die as great gain. And I won't be dead. I'll be more alive than ever before. And so this life we're only passing through. But not until the assignment of my life is over. I really believe that. And so I've just, every day I wake up, I thank that God, that I have breath in my lungs, I surrender the day to him, and I'm just so, so grateful and I feel better than I've ever felt my whole life is truly honestly, I tell people all the time that other than my salvation and my family, the greatest gift I've ever been given has been this diagnosis, because it's just set the foundation and created a wine skin to be able to walk out everything that God's called me to.

Ivelisse Page:

Hmm. Yeah. That's beautiful. I hear that a lot. Cancer, I believe, has something to teach all of us. Mm-hmm. And it's a gift. None of us wanna walk through it, but it is such a gift and the lessons that we learn and the intimacy that God provides and the prayers that are answered. And you know, I love your Matthew 10 mission, and it's similar to what we at Believe Big believe, which is setting people free spiritually, physically, emotionally. How do you see the spiritual and the physical world working hand in hand in your ministry?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. You know, I, I think it's the practical act aspect of the gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ. And obviously there's only salvation in one, and that's through Jesus Christ. And, but the living God, the creator of the heavens and the earth, loves each of us for God so love the world, not a group of people, the entire world, in that he sees us with great worth, value, and significance in his sight. And so, I think it's the gospel that we preach all around the world, and at the same time, it's the practical application of the gospel in, in setting captives free and basically rescuing slaves from brick factories in Pakistan. It's also, you know, taking care of the fatherless and the widows and establishing church plants and just feeding the poor is just, pure religion, pure worship before the father is to take care of the fatherless and the widows. And and that's really what we try to do each and every day. And just, you know, I want to store treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy. And that's the thing that we tell, you know, our kids all the time is guys, the purpose for our life is to really advance His kingdom to destroy the works of the enemy, to infiltrate culture. And now we believe through this cancer world and just earn our right to share Christ and then fund the gospel where moth and rust cannot destroy. And, I believe souls are the currency of heaven, and I just wanna stir up as many treasures as I can for the Lord.

Ivelisse Page:

Hmm. Yes. Yes. So you also lead Redeem Health, Redeem Essentials, and the Be Resilient Program. Can you share about that real quick?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. You know, the Be Resilient program is something that's very dear to my heart because of what has opened up in the cancer community, and it's what I personally went through in my own journey. But it started five years previous to me being diagnosed. My wife came to me, my wife Stephanie. She had the cleanest diet of anyone I knew at the time. She was gluten-free, dairy-free, eating organic, taking supplements, working out mid forties, but she was exhausted. Digestive issues and hormonal imbalances, and she just, you know, so I reached out to a number of functional medicine practitioners and what I found was that most of'em did not do functional blood work. And the ones that did, gave everyone the same supplements and they're great supplements, but there's no personalization, no meal plan. And she just said to me like, no offense, but I'm tired of living this way. Like I need to figure this thing out. And that's when I decided to do a deep dive. It's nice because God's so gracious to go before us and he was paving the way for later for me to be diagnosed and know what exactly to do. And so I reached out to a number of, I, I started doing due diligence in regards to what labs did I run, wanna run functional labs to determine cellular health because it's different. I can run blood work and determine what's in the blood, but I wanted to really know what was going on at a cellular level. And so I ran a food sensitivity test, even though she was the cleanest eater of anyone I knew. I wanted to make sure we weren't adding insult to injury. I did a DNA test to determine if she had any DNA variations. We did a micronutrient analysis. To determine if she was nutrient deficient at a cellular level, which now I know that if the body's nutrient deficient at a cellular level, the body will not detoxify itself effectively. So I don't care if it's the digestive system, kidneys, liver, lungs, or skin, it will spin its wheels. And then when it comes to detoxifying from parasites, heavy metals, mold and lime, it just doesn't do its job. And I, I ran these, this blood work on my wife. To be honest with you, I called my manufacturer and I said, Hey, can you do me a huge favor? Can you take my wife's blood work, put it down your assembly line and fill it with what she's deficient in? And they laughed at me. They said Dr. B, that doesn't work. There's no money in components supplements and no one in America will accommodate. And unfortunately they're right. And I did thankfully find a manufacturer in Canada and who's willing to work with me and not only build those capsules with what my wife was deficient in, but couple it with her DNA mutations or food sensitivities, antioxidants that were most protective for her. And we compounded a supplement, created a meal plan based on blood work set up with nutritious and it was life changing. I say all that to say. Then I allowed my patients to start using it. They were coming to me already from all over the world with cancer and MS. And I started getting calls from oncologists saying, hey, we sent a patient to you four months ago who seven years ago had breast cancer. They did conventional treatment, but has now come back with a vengeance and they've simply refused standard of care. And so we sent her to you and after four months convinced her to rerun her blood work and found that all the tumors had shrunk in half and were hollow. She's cancer free. I started hearing that over and over again, so hindsight obviously is 2020. I had the familiarity of my wife and patients, and so that's why, you know, the morning after I was diagnosed, I became my own patient. And that's what I've done since in, at the four month mark. they removed tennis ball size tumor. They got about 90% of it. They, they thought, but at the 10 month or at the four month mark, they, there was no sign of cancer. And at the 10 month mark, which is a little over a month ago, I did another brain MRI and it was no sign of cancer. And then I did a CT scan and it was clear as well with blood work clear. So I'm just so grateful to the Lord for, I really believe that his mercy and kindness has kissed my life.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes, it certainly has, and I know that you're gonna continue to bless other people and God knows that. And so encourage others. And I believe that's one of the reasons why he allowed you to escape what others said would not. Because he know that he knew that you would be faithful to encourage and help others. And so thank you for doing that. And I know that a lot of people will be asking about this personalized supplementation because I agree there's so much, whether it's a nutrition genome or all the, the genetics and epigenetics and things that your body is needing and so many patients are on so many different supplements, and it's costly. Yeah. So do you do this for individuals who are healthy and may just want to tweak and then say, Hey, can I get a personalized supplementation based on my needs?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah. And so I think the easiest way to find out information is actually following me on, on social media at Dr. Pete Sulack, And then if you type protocol in any one of the videos on any, on any page, type protocol. And I will actually send you, an 87 page guide, my resilience protocol for free. And it's basically everything I've done in my own journey. And you can just follow your messages to download that protocol. But I talk about the books that are inspirational to me. I talk about the scripture in, in the promises of God that I stood on. I talk about the supplements, I talk about the different modalities I've used. I kind of lay all that out. And it's free for everybody, but it allows you as well when you download that to set up a one-on-one consultation for more information. And we just really wanna empower this generation to get healthy and let the world know that cancer does not have to be a death sentence. It's not the name above every name. Jesus is the name above every name, and cancer must bow. And so by fashion is to just empower a generation to establish the terrain of the body, to starve cancer and really make cancer inhospitable in their body and allow us to go live a happy and healthy life.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes. Yes. A hundred percent thousand percent. Yeah. you know, when, when I was diagnosed back in 2008 with stage four colon cancer, people that I actually reached out to was Jordan Rubin. And he gave me a prayer that he had given to his mom. And I still have it. And I still share with people portions of that prayer'cause it is so powerful. And what you just said that cancer has to bow down to me is one of the statements that he Yeah. Said You need to say this every day in the morning and declare it as on earth as it is in heaven. And so I, I love that you're connected with him in, in such a way. It just brought that all back.

Dr. Pete Sulack:

We have a book coming out in June of, of 2026 called Healing Prayers for Cancer. And wow. It's just been, one of, it's been the, the scriptures and the prayers that I've prayed over myself just to be an encouragement to people as well. And so, yeah, it comes out in June and I think of June of 2026, but we're really excited about that.

Ivelisse Page:

Fantastic. Can't wait to to read that one as well. So you, you often talk about helping people break the cycle of chronic and emotional stress. For someone who listening today who's feeling overwhelmed, what's a first step they can take towards healing and towards peace?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

I think emotionally when you look at the, the emotional stress pathway physiologically, when you lose hope, it actually puts the body into a stress response and creates vulnerability. And so the, the scripture says, hope deferred makes the heart sick. A desire fulfills a tree of life. And it's so true in, its backed by, even by science. And so it's, it's regaining that hope, regaining that confidence in who we are as children of God, who we are, whose we are, and who our God is. And like David says, magnify the Lord with me. Let's exalt his name together. And so it's making sure that we put him back on the throne of our lives, that we realize that our God is so big, so strong as somebody, there's nothing our God cannot do. And the enemies of withering branch that's come to nothing. We have all authority over all the part of the enemy. So no matter what has come against you in your life, no matter how you've been hurt and everything else, know this, your life is of great worth, value, and significance in the eyes of God. You are so loved. And how loved are you? The living God that was worth sending his son to die in your place. And so that's just living from the vantage point of heaven will restore that hope, restore that confidence, and allow us to come back out of that emotional stress response.

Ivelisse Page:

Yeah, that's so true. So. One thing that I know a lot of people battle I, I battled it myself. And you seem so strong and courageous and I know that's years of walking with the Lord, but did you ever experience moments of fear? And how did the Lord step into those places to help you overcome those arrows that the enemy loves to throw at us when we're at our weakest?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

You know, the, the enemy loves to drown us in the circumstances of life and, and let them get up into our business, so to speak. And I think it's the, you know, scripture says, hold every thought captive the obedience of Christ, cast out every false imagination, everything that will exalt itself against the knowledge of God and who we are as children of God. You know, the Bible says that we're ambassadors of heaven, that we've come to represent heaven to earth now that we're children of God and the realities of heaven are truth and what's truth. The entirety of the word of God is truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. Who we are now that Christ has come is truth. His promises are truth. And when that truth and that becomes the reality and the conviction of our heart, we enter into a realm of faith. And we know we're living by faith because there's a rest for the people of God. There's freedom and liberty when we live from God's vantage point. But every day we wake up in this life and these circumstances get up in our business. And the, the reality of this life are the facts of life and what governs our senses and what the doctor says and what the bank account says. And if we're not careful, those things, the realities of this world get up into the crevices of our heart and become what we're convinced of. And the litmus test for that is it carries a yoke. We become burdened and wore down. So the Bible says, in Hebrews 4 says, if that, if that's occurring, then come boldly into the throne of grace. Retain grace and mercy and time and need. You don't have to fake it till you make it. The, the word of God divides soul and spirit, and it is, it reveals the thoughts and intents of man and nothing's hidden from God's sight. So he says, son, daughter, don't hide it. That you're yoked, just come boldly into my presence. Come take my perspective again, and watch what I can do. When you take on the perspective of God, where we can walk by faith, not by sight.

Ivelisse Page:

In your book the Joseph Blessing, you talk about using your God-given dream to change the world. Mm-hmm. What would you say to someone who feels like their dream has died or that it's too late to make an impact?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

Yeah, people ask me all the time, like Dr. Pete, how do I find out what my calling is or what my purpose is? And I think my first thing would be just steward the day. Just God's giving you gifts according to the grace given to you. So just be faithful with those gifts. Be a blessing to people and watch what God does. But I think too, you know, those who delight themselves in the Lord, God gives us the desires of our heart and it comes from a word from the sire, meaning from the father. When we delight ourself in the Lord, like literally he impregnates us with with revelation, impregnates us with vision, and he impregnates us with it because he says the things that you give birth to you can be most passionate about. You can be able to, you walk them out to the end. And so he's so gracious of allowing the vision in the things that he plants in our spirit for us to take ownership of. And he says those things because with without vision, people cast off restraints. So he says, let me impregnate you with vision and destiny and the things I wanna do in your life. And then it is dream big and come before the Lord and surrender to him and spend time with him and enjoy his, you know, worship music and just enjoy the word of God and the water of the word. And allow him to begin to impregnate you with destiny and impregnate you with dreams and visions. And then call those things that are not as though they are. The word of God said, told Abram. He changed his name to Abraham and you know, which meant father of many nations. And it's just, it's so cool when we can begin to spend time with the Lord, him impregnate in our spirits, what he wants to do with our life, and then call that forth. It's just, it's an incredible opportunity to just be used by him.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes. And so for someone who, let's say, isn't walking with the Lord and may not know how to get to that point. I always feel like he gives us baby steps in order to draw closer to him and to have that relationship that you now have, you know. What would you say to someone who doesn't have a faith right now and may be searching and seeking in this moment of cancer? What would be your best advice to them as far as drawing close to the Lord and who he really is?

Dr. Pete Sulack:

I think just understanding first of all, that your life is of great worth, value, and significance in the eyes of God. That God, his whole purpose from the beginning of time was to be in relationship with each of us, and it comes through Jesus Christ and just by surrendering our lives to Jesus, we come back in a relationship with God. Jesus didn't come to start a religion. He came to restore relationship back with our Heavenly Father, and so it's just in too, to walk this thing out, it's not about what I can do to muster something up. It's actually about surrendering. It's, it's the moment of surrender is the moment that God comes and rushes in and he can become the Lord of our life. And I think so many people miss that and they miss out on the opportunity of the grace of surrender and, and I really feel like the Lord this desires our hearts. And so whether we humble ourselves and fall on the rock, or the rock falls on us, it's all for our benefit. It's so that the Lord can grab a hold of our heart and use us for his glory.

Ivelisse Page:

Yes. And, you mentioned about your book of prayers that's coming out, and we've never done this before, and I, I think I'm okay when I'm putting you on the spot a little bit here. I think it would be beautiful if those who are listening who do have cancer or a chronic illness of any sort or not feeling well, I would love for you to close out our podcast today by saying a prayer for them.
